What is a Dependant's Pass (DP)?
A Dependant's Pass (DP) allows the legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old, including legally adopted children, of an eligible Employment Pass (EP) or S Pass holder to live in Singapore.
The DP is issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and is usually valid for the same duration as the main pass holder's EP.
Eligibility Criteria
To sponsor a DP, the main pass holder must:
- Hold a valid Employment Pass (EP) or S Pass
- Earn a fixed monthly salary of at least S$6,000
- Have proof of relationship with dependants (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate)
Eligible dependants include:
- Legally married spouse
- Unmarried children under 21 (biological or legally adopted)

For each dependant:
- Passport biodata page (clear copy)
- Birth certificate or marriage certificate (translated in English if needed)
- Recent passport-sized photo
- EP holder's passport and pass copy
- EP holder's company details (Bizfile, employment letter, salary slips)

What is a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP)?
The Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) allows eligible family members of Employment Pass (EP) holders to live in Singapore. While spouses and children may qualify for a Dependant's Pass, parents must apply under the LTVP scheme.
The LTVP is issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and is generally valid for the same duration as the EP holder's pass.
